Vic is responsible for timber and wildlife management, including the management of hunting leases, wetlands mitigation, and property disposals and acquisitions. In addition, Vic serves as an AWS Wildlife Biologist, working especially with habitat management for white-tailed deer. "In a nutshell, I love the many and diverse job duties I perform during a given year and the many folks I have the opportunity to interact with on those job duties."
Vic started his career by earning a Bachelor of Science in Forestry and a Master's of Science in Wildlife Management from LSU. After leaving LSU, he worked with the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries in the Ecological Studies and Wildlife Divisions, which thoroughly prepared him for his role at AWS. Additionally, Vic is a Mississippi Licensed Forester, an Associate Wildlife Biologist with The Wildlife Society, a Licensed Louisiana Real Estate Salesperson, and a Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) Certified Forester.
Vic was awarded the Al Brothers Professional Deer Manager of the Year in 2014. Vic has also been a huge part of numerous forestry and wildlife professional organizations, many of which he held office positions, including: Louisiana Landowners Association Board of Directors (Past President), LA Alligator Advisory Council (Vice Chairman), Feral Hog Management Advisory Task Force (Vice Chairman), Quality Deer Management Association Board of Directors-South Louisiana Branch (Past President), and the Redstick Forestry Association (Past President).
Vic and his wife, JeneƩ, have been married for over 20 years and have two children, Adam and Katie. As a family, they enjoy spending time together and vacationing. In his free time, you may find Vic hunting, fishing, weightlifting, woodworking, or volunteering time to various conservation organizations and those supporting St. John High School.
