Internships

Through our partnership with the LSU AgCenter, we sponsor yearly internships for high-achieving students with interests in forestry management, wildlife ecology and management, agronomic plant and soil systems, environmental management, and crop production economics.

These internships offer an opportunity for students in Agricultural Business, Natural Resource Ecology and Management, Plant and Soil Systems, or Environmental Management Systems majors to pursue research projects under the guidance of LSU faculty and A. Wilbert’s Sons personnel.

Our internships have a minimum one-semester requirement, but may be extended to a full year, depending on the nature of the project and availability of funding.

Our internships have a minimum one-semester requirement, but may be extended to a full year, depending on the nature of the project and availability of funding. Though our interns work closely with our own personnel, they are required to report to their faculty advisors for project requirements. Interns will be required to complete mid-term and final reports, as well as presentations to our management team upon the completion of their project.

As a business that has survived the test of time for over 130 years, we know how important education and innovation are in our industry. We have supported several students since we began sponsoring internships that have proposed valuable questions and found valuable answers through their research and dedication. We are proud of the work we’ve accomplished with every student and look forward to supporting and learning with the LSU Agriculture students every year.
